Bring your rising star to STAGES for two-weeks of singing, dancing and creative drama! Your child will enjoy performing such classic magical songs as Jiminy Cricket’s “When You Wish Upon a Star,” Cinderella’s “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” and Dorothy’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Boys and girls will have an enchanted time performing and also creating simple yet magical props to bring these and other classic characters and songs to life!

Cinderella met the dwarves; Little Red’s wearing green. What has happened in Fairytale Land? Come help us answer this question as we use creative drama, music and movement to develop these mixed up versions which bring to life our original creations of some classic characters!

For young ones who love to sing, dance, and act! We’ll learn about musical notes and rhythm, beginning dance combinations and how to create characters as we perform classic age-appropriate musical theatre numbers.

From Captain Hook to Cinderella, in this seven week course we’ll have many adventures as we enjoy using drama to recreate classic stories and contemporary characters from everyone’s favorite books and fairy tales.

Where does the sidewalk end? What is a giving tree? What do you get when you add a half to a giraffe? Find answers to these questions and more as budding actors bring to life the world of Shel Silverstein! In our week together we’ll have fun learning performance skills as we create characters and dramatize poems and stories from this zany, yet thoughtful author.

“One” from A CHORUS LINE, the title songs from 42ND STREET and FOOTLOOSE…musical theatre is often defined by these and its many other famous flashy, show-stopping song and dance numbers. Here’s your moment in the spotlight as you perform many of these songs in one fast-paced and educational workshop. You’ll learn about the special place these numbers have in musical theatre history and their role in that musical’s story while at the same challenging your musical theatre skills with these classic hits!

Not your stereotypical “camp rock”—this cutting-edge workshop will trace the development of rock music’s transformative influence on musical theatre as students perform its important scenes and songs. From 1968 with the musical HAIR, through its development in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and TOMMY, up to today’s modern rock musicals such as RENT and SPRING AWAKENING, we’ll see how rock musicals reflect the changes in American culture and reflect the musical style, issues and ideals of the young generation.

(Prior musical theatre experience required.) Serious musical theatre students will have the unique opportunity to investigate the work of one of today’s smartest and most extraordinary musical theatre songwriters in this fun and challenging one-week workshop. You’ll stretch your musical theatre skills while working with professionals analyzing and performing songs from Jason Robert Brown’s important works such as SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD and the new hit musical 13. This EXCITING one-week day-camp will immerse students in a high-energy, intensive all-day learning experience consisting of instruction in acting, singing and dancing. By focusing on process and technique-based coaching by professionals, students will experience the collaborative nature of theatre at its most thrilling. A culminating production of the material worked on will be presented for family and friends.

Feel the beat in this one-week workshop featuring show-stopping numbers from throughout the decades of Broadway pop musicals. Students will work as an ensemble on singing, musical comedy skills, a variety of dance styles and acting while having the chance to shine performing some of musical theatre’s hottest pop hits. The program will feature songs and choreography from current Broadway hits to earlier pop musicals from the 1960’s and 70’s.

In this three-week workshop advanced musical theatre students will have the opportunity to work with professionals to create their own personalized musical revue of today’s hottest pieces to those from classic creators. You’ll analyze and uncover the emotional messages and find your voice as it’s expressed through some of musical theatre’s greatest songs. A combination of studio-based technique work and rehearsal, this workshop will culminate in a fully-staged public performance by, for and about YOU and your generation! Exciting, edgy and unconventional, this program is a must for serious musical theatre students wishing to stretch their performance skills!

In this fun two-week workshop we’ll “Go Fish” and use music, movement and drama to bring to life the story of the crazy character creatures featured in our “refreshing” musical theatre adventure. So grab your scuba gear for a creative summer adventure that will open up your child’s imagination and have everyone singing and dancing while developing important motor and communication skills. Don’t miss out on this highly interactive experience!

Students will kick off their summer with a blast as they sing and dance their way around the world, performing musical numbers from a variety of cultural backgrounds. We’ll continue the journey begun last summer, so whether you’re a returning performer or new, you’ll have fun in this creative and educational workshop. Daily music, drama and dance sessions will develop students’ performing talents while also refining important motor and communication skills—all in a positive and supportive environment. Then to top it off, we’ll conclude our three-week journey with a special showcase performance for family and friends!
